Every workout helps your Nest.
(scoring, in plain words.)You don't need to understand the maths to win. Here it is in plain words. Every detail is in The Hatch.
Minutes × how hard your heart worked.
(not steps.)Every workout earns Exercise Points. Your wearable sends us how long you moved and your average heart rate. We compare that with your resting heart rate and your heart rate limit (worked out from your age) to see how hard your heart was working.
- Light (easy, chatty): under 1 point a minute.
- Moderate (breathing faster): 1 to 2 points a minute.
- Vigorous (tough to talk): 2 to 3 points a minute.
- Max (near all out): 3 to 4 points a minute. That's the cap, so there's no prize for overdoing it.
Example: 40 minutes at an intensity of 1.6 is 64 points. If it's a strength workout, add 25%: 80 points.
Lift it. Snap it.
(two easy ways to earn more.)Strength bonus, +25%. Heart rate undervalues lifting, so strength workout types (weights, functional strength, Pilates, climbing and similar) get a 25% boost, based on the workout type your wearable records.
ProofShot, +10%. Post a photo in the feed within 60 minutes of your workout uploading to NestEgg and that workout earns 10% more. It's also the best bit of the feed.
Your target. Nobody else's.
(this is the handicap.)Your Level gives you a weekly Exercise Points target. Hit it and you score 100%, the same as anyone else who hits theirs, whatever their Level. That's why a walker and a marathoner can be on the same Nest and both matter.
- New Eggs start from the activity question you answer when you join. Returning Eggs start two Levels below where they finished.
- Levels change only at the end of a week, based on how you did. Never mid week.
- Your Level Score only goes up during a week. Every workout helps.
Fifteen Levels, five classes
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Professional and Elite. Weekly targets run from 150 Exercise Points at Level 1 to 3,300 at Level 15.
Two Eggs. Two targets. Same 100%.
Hit your own target and you've done your bit for the Nest, same as everyone else.

An average, on purpose.
(one superstar can't carry it. one quiet week won't sink it.)Each week, your Nest Score is the average Level Score of the active Eggs in your Nest. The four weekly Nest Scores add up to your Total Nest Score, and the Nest with the highest total after four weeks wins.
Anyone on Health Pause that week is left out of the average, so they don't drag the Nest down.
Which week does a workout count in? The week it finishes in. Scores lock at the weekly cut over, so open the app before then to make sure everything has synced.
